Family's Outing Turns Tragedy

We all love travelling and taking our family and friends out to places. A holiday together is a great way to strengthen bonds. But have you ever thought of the dangers that you will experience while out for outings?

This is what happened with a picnic outing for a family at Sungai Air Beruk, Kampung Padang Stang here turned tragic when two of them drowned yesterday.

They have been identified as Abdul Rahman Ramli, 26, and his uncle, Ahmad Asymuni Idris, 42.

The family had gone to the river yesterday around 3 pm, said Zulkifli Mahmood, Gerik Police Chief Superintendent.

While taking a dip, the decreased Abdul Rahman's mother almost drowned. Both Abdul Rahman and his uncle, Ahmad Asyumi, quickly rescue her.
