MAXIMIZE contactless technology as much as possible, everyone!

Passengers are encouraged to use the web or mobile check-in to reduce surface and physical contact. Self-service check-in kiosks are also available for travellers.

High-Efficiency Particle Filters or also known as HEPA filters are normally used in hospitals. All Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia and Malindo’s aircraft are equipped with HEPA filters. Particles and airborne contaminants such as viruses and bacteria are filtered out during flight by these filters.

Planes are cleaned and disinfected with cleaning agents approved by the health authority and aircraft manufacturer either after the flight and deep cleaning every night stop. Enhanced cleaning procedures include wipe down of frequently touched surfaces and areas before each flight.

While passengers are doing their part, all crews will practice proper hygiene standards, even when handling out on-board meals. Crews are also trained to assist with any medical situation on-board. This also includes identifying and isolating anyone who may feel unwell on-board.
