With no signs of the border opening up for air travel, passenger airlines around the world have moved towards Cargo operations to keep afloat. Initially, airlines would fill up the passengers' seats and the overhead compartment with cargo to fulfil the demand. FlyScoot, however, took it one step forward by removing the seats.
This will help FlyScoot to serve customers in smaller airports better!
The A320ceo aircraft (9V-TAZ) had all of its passengers' seats removed to double its cargo-carrying capacity. The whole process took 4 days to complete.

Passenger seats were removed, markings of placement of cargo and installation of additional fire extinguishers are part of the modifications conducted. The flights operated with this aircraft will have a minimum of 2 pilots and 2 cabin crew onboard to ensure safe and smooth operations.
FlyScoot's first cargo flight with the modified Airbus A320 departed from Fuzhou on 22 August, bound for Singapore. In a media statement released by FlyScoot, this makes the airline the first airline in Southeast Asia to operate cargo charter flights with such modified aircraft.
Say hi to our first cargo plane! ???? Scoot has been exploring ways to maximize aircraft utilisation - like ferrying cargo in seats. Now, by removing the seats in this #A320bae, the whole cabin space can be used.???? Check out the pics of its modification and maiden cargo flight???? pic.twitter.com/wFqG31GaCW
