K-Drama actor and heartthrob Gong Yoo revealed he is a descendant of Confucius.
"My parents wouldn't have lied to me, would they?" said Gong Yoo to DramaFever.
For those that do not know Confucius, Confucius is a famous philosopher and educator in ancient China, 551 BC - 479 BC. Confucius real name is Kong Qiu or respectfully called Kong Zi (孔子) or Kong Fu Zi in China. Confucius was considered one of the most important and influential individuals in human history.

The Guinness World Records acknowledged Kong Qiu's family as the world's longest family tree, documenting over 2 million descendants and approximately 86 generations.
Gong Ji-Cheol, better known as Gong Yoo (using his father's family name "Gong" and his mother's family name "Yoo"), is the 79th generation of Confucius' descendants.
The Gokbu Gong clan is the first generation that a Korean branch of the extended family is noticed. It is also the only non-Chinese branch acknowledged in the family tree of Confucius.
Gong Yoo's former co-star, Gong Hyo-Jin, also comes from the Confucious' descendant. She's from the 81st generation.
The Train the Busan star, Gong Yoo, is famous for being handsome. He is also a romantic guy and a great listener, said Gong Hyo Kin.

Gong Hyo-Jin, the queen of romantic comedies, last starred together with Gong Yoo in the k-drama titled Biscuit Teacher Star Candy in 2005.
