On Monday morning (01/02/2021), the military of Myanmar has seized power of its country. The coup d'état received worldwide coverage, from news outlet and social media. But amidst the whole tensions capture on camera, one video caught everyone attention — a video of a woman doing aerobic.
The three-minute video has Khing Hnin Wai, doing her aerobics session while a military coup is happening behind her. From Khing’s Facebook page, she stated she is a Physical Education Teacher at the Ministry of Education, Myanmar. That might explain why she’s doing the aerobic video, trying to promote active lifestyles. Khin’s aerobic video was originally posted on her Facebook page, got viral, and shared on various social media platforms.

There were mix reactions from the netizens as well. Some netizens questioned the genuine of the video or its intention, saying it was staged. In her defence, Khing has posted her regular aerobic videos taken on the same spot before this. It’s just on that Monday morning; a military coup suddenly happened without her knowing. She never did the video for any publicity or organisation, and she just wanted to do aerobics.
