The investigation paper on the celebrity couple Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor (or known as Neelofa) and Haris Ismail (or known as PU Riz) for allegedly violating the standard operating procedures (SOP) of the movement control order (MCO) was resubmitted yesterday to the deputy public prosecutor (DPP).
Dang Wangi district police chief Commissioner Mohamad Zainal Abdullah said they are waiting for further instructions from the DPP, reported Harian Metro.
"We resent the paper yesterday after making some addition as per the orders. Any further development in regards to the case will be made known to the public later," he said in Malay Mail.
The police opened an investigation paper into the wedding of Neelofa and PU Riz under Section 21A of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 for failing to ensure their reception on March 27 adhered to the SOPs as well as physical distancing measures.
The Star reported that the police had suggested issuing the couple a compound.
At the same time, another 'not celebrity' couple was slapped with a fine for failing to adhere to the SOP on their wedding day.
This caused an uproar when netizen pointed out the double standards in the treatments of "VIP" vs ordinary Malaysians.

Honeymoon or work?
What makes matters worse was the couple suddenly posted their "honey-moon" pictures from Langkawi several days later, claiming the trip was "business-related".
For this issue, Neelofa has admitted to the breach of SOP and the Langkawi incident.
