To date, a total of 452,919 individuals has received the Covid-19 Vaccine.
Earlier, Khairy said Phase 1 of the National Immunisation Program (NIP) is expected to be completed earlier than scheduled as Malaysia will no longer adopt the previous “one dose, one dose reserve” policy to speed up the vaccination process.
The existing vaccine doses would instead be fully utilised, as the government is satisfied with the Pfizer-BioNTech manufacturer’s delivery schedule.
The Health Ministry will determine the date for Phase 2 of the immunisation programme, which would be announced next week.
