Noodles lover, Alyssa and Mitch have brought the world, the ChopStraw. If the name itself is not a giveaway to you, ChopStraw is the combination of chopstick and straw. Other than hoping it would be the next Spork invention, ChopStraw has a noble cause. You can save the environment with this utensil.
The cool thing about ChopStraw is that this multi-purpose utensil is reusable and has sustainable value. Both its inventor has thought well of the environment because ChopStraw is made of food-grade stainless steel, which can be recycled, unlike the disposable chopstick and plastic straw that has contributed to billions of waste. According to WWF, we contribute so much plastic waste. So while you overfeed yourself, you still can feel good about yourself since you are making a change to this world.
In terms of its design, it still functions and looks like your normal chopstick and straw. It does have its weight feeling because of the stainless steel used so you can feel premium while slurping noodles. Other than that, ChopStraw comes with ChopCollar, a silicon wrap for extra grip and heat protection when you use it as a chopstick and you can remove the silicon when you want to use it as a straw. The full set also comes with a travel bag and a brush for cleaning.

As for now, ChopStraw is open for preorder on their Kickstarter page. In their remark, if everything went well, no alien invasion, 2020 events that make 2012 look like a joke, or things like that, distribution of ChopStraw worldwide will start as early as January 2021.

Maybe you’re not into the chopstick life. But you still can drink and save the environment at the same time, so it's a win-win situation. Image source via Tenor
Either you find the usefulness of ChopStraw or not, honestly, you got to give kudos to these two inventors for their innovation and their intention to change the way we treat our waste. So, STAY SAFE AND LIVE A SUSTAINABILITY LIFE!!!
