Technology literacy is important. Well, it depends. A thief in Jamalpur, India decided to return the phone he stole to its rightful owner because he failed to operate it.

It all started in a shop that sells sweets in the district of East Burdwan on 4 September. The phone owner accidentally left his phone, which worth Rs45,000 (RM2,556.22) at the shop counter. After failing to search back his phone at the shop, the owner then lodges a police report.
Later, the owner tried to call back his missing phone, but the phone had been switch off. Trying his luck again, the owner called, and this time, it is answered by the thief himself. The thief, expressing his guilt, had promised the owner that he would return the stolen phone.
On that very same day, the owner with help from the police, went to the thief’s home to retrieve the stolen phone. Since the thief return the phone to the owner as promised, the owner decided not to take any legal action against the thief.
Following that, the owner shared the news about his found stolen phone on his Facebook page. A user commented, “Even though it seems funny, I appreciate that the accused gave back the phone rather than throwing it somewhere.”

Apart from technology literacy, this story teaches us the importance of honesty and forgiveness in our daily lives. But still, do secure your belongings and also, DO NOT steal. STAY SAFE AND VIGILANT GUYS!!!
