“Usually after work, Stephen and I like to cook Indomie. We are the type that after a meal, we need dessert. We always have our own made ice cream. After we’re done eating, it was at that moment we thought of making Indomie flavoured ice cream”, Evelyn told Kompas.com.

Evelyn said that they have brainstormed and did some experiments when creating the unique flavour ice cream. Once they have the right recipe, Evelyn and Stephen tested the ice cream with their close families without telling them it is Indomie flavour.

Their families love it and moreover were impressed after they knew it was Indomie flavour. It was then Evelyn and Stephen thought of sharing the unique taste ice cream to the public.

Since the launching of the Indomie flavoured ice cream on 10 August 2020, Evelyn was getting mixed reviews from the public. Everyone was curious, some show support while others think the flavour is just to weird, especially with fried onions sprinkled on top of the ice cream.
