The MBAN Sarawak Chapter's first pro tem committee meeting took place on April 6, 2023. The committee comprises corporate figures from different industries, with the Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC) acting as the secretariat. The pro tem committee is led by Dato Patrick Liew as Chairman, Janang Bungsu as vice-Chairman, Hazwan Razak as Secretary, and Anne Kung as Treasurer. Other members include Ehon Chan, David Chew, James Hunt, Chia Kah Peng, Melvin Liew, James Graham, John Law, and Amirul Annuar.
The launch of MBAN Sarawak was first announced by SDEC Chief Executive Officer Sudarnoto Osman during the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) exchange between SDEC and MBAN during MBAN Summit 2022 in Kuala Lumpur.
