James Michael Tyler: 'Gunther' In Friends Died Aged 59

US actor James Michael Tyler, who most famously starred as Gunther in the TV sitcom Friends, has died aged 59.

Tyler passed away peacefully at his home in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, said his manager.

Tyler was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in 2018, which later spread to his bones.

Tyler wanted to share his story and create awareness of prostate cancer and became a campaigner for early testing for prostate cancer.

Tyler, who starred in the Friend's sitcom as Gunther, worked as a manager in the coffee house "Central Perk".

Earlier this year, Tyler has made an appearance of Friends reunion special via Zoom.

"I could not have imagined just a better experience.," he said. "All these guys were fantastic and just a joy to work with. It felt very, very special."

Rest in peace, James Michael Tyler.

Here are some funny scenes of Gunther and Rachael.
