It Has Begun! ICube and GEX Off To A Good Start in Raising Innovative Entrepreneurs From Sarawak!

In just less than a month after the signing of MoA to become exclusive partners to help Sarawak entrepreneurs take their businesses to the next level, iCube Innovation (I.C.U.B.E.) and Global Entrepreneur Xchange (G.E.X.) have successfully launched the first of their collaborative programs under "R.A.I.S.E." (Raising Aspiring Innovative Sarawak Entrepreneurs)

The first free R.A.I.S.E. Virtual Workshop: Startup Secrets attracted both university students and entrepreneurs. Karthik Siva, the Chairman of G.E.X., a highly acclaimed branding expert, author, speaker and leadership mentor, shared on the topic: "The 6 Predictors of Startup", offering valuable insights to a proven formula that can dramatically help improve the success of a business.

He began by inviting the participants to ponder if their current products or services solve any problems or reduce pain points.

"If your business does not solve customers' problems today, likely, you won't have any customers in the future either," said Karthik.

Other substantial pointers covered during the 2-hour session include ways to keep business competitive and sustainable, the right funding strategy, the right timing that can work to one's advantage, and how branding is imperative to the success of a business. The virtual workshop has delivered its promise to equip participants with perceptions of major blind spots in startups that can dramatically magnify one's chances of success and minimise their odds of failure.

The event allowed participants to raise questions they had to be answered directly by the international strategy consultant himself. When asked if students should be encouraged to start their businesses and become entrepreneurs in this day and age, Karthik replied: "If you are a student, you are full of ideas and passion. It is the best time to be an entrepreneur. Take the plunge. Don't overthink."

Participants of the event have responded favourably.

"This workshop was pretty good. It raised a lot of questions for me to ponder. We were worried that we couldn't fit into this business landscape. At least now I have some clear pointers to think about for our direction moving forward," said John-Paul Davis, co-founder and director HAUS KCH.

"R. A.I.S.E." aims to transform and empower entrepreneurs in Sarawak through a series of programs, including a free workshop organised every month.

The next free coaching session will focus on "Master 5 Innovation Tool To Disrupt The Market". Taking place on October 25 2021, the second R.A.I.S.E. virtual workshop will provide a practical insight into the top 5 pillars in an innovation ecosystem framework.

Most corporations and businesses are focused chiefly on building their current businesses or merely trying to survive. Many companies react to innovation instead of leading innovation. It will make a big difference if they have the tools, skills and knowledge to create and drive innovation in their organisations.

Are these some of the questions that you have?

  • How can I create disruptive innovation and lead the market?
  • How can I reshape my corporate strategy and culture to embrace innovation?
  • How can I upskill the capabilities of my teams?
  • Is there a proven road map, method and strategy to achieve these goals?

If so, this is an event you do not want to miss out on!

Registration is FREE. To sign up, go to For more information, you may contact the event organiser at +(60)12 896 8684.
