Singapore Is Giving Johor 100,000 Doses Of Pfizer Vaccine

The Singapore Government will give Johor 100,000 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, said Datuk Hasni Mohammad, Johor Chief Minister.

Singapore has donated 20,000 doses of the Sinovac Covid-19 vaccine on July 29.

"In the short term, the Singapore Government will contribute 100,640 doses of Pfizer-BioN Covid-19 vaccine to Johor state government", said Hasni Mohammad to CNA.

Previously, Johor has accepted 300,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine donated by the United Arab Emirates.

Johor targets to vaccinate 100 per cent of its adult population at least one dose by September 16 and complete vaccination by the third week of October.

84.3 per cent of the Johor adult population has completed the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, while 53.5 per cent has been fully vaccinated at the time of reporting.

Hasni said that vaccines are a “key component” for Johor’s exit strategy from the pandemic.
