PTPTN Loan Borrowers May Apply For A 3-Month Deferment Starting Today!

Borrowers of the Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN) can start applying for a three-month deferment for those who have lost their source of income and unable to repay their loans due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

No supporting documents are required for the application.

For successful applicants, the deferment will start in the month of the application is approved. Chief executive of PTPTN, Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid, added that the approval will be informed via e-mail within three working days.

"Borrowers are reminded to update and ensure accurate contact details so that the information on the deferment approval could reach them," he added.

Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad, Higher Education Minister, highlighted that only qualified applicants would be given the deferment.

This is the second time this year PTPTN has allowed its borrowers to apply for deferment. The first round was from January to May.
