Non-Fungible Token (NFT) is really taking the industry by storm. We recently wrote an article explaining what is NFT. For those that are unfamiliar with NFT, you can easily find the explanation here.
Now, someone just bought the world's first tweet for USD 2.9 million as a NFT! That person is a Malaysian-based CEO, Sina Estavi.

The exact tweet was published 15 years ago in 2006 and was put to sell to raise fund for Covid-19 affected areas on the African continent.
Sina Estavi paid 1630.5825601 ETH for the tweet, which was worth US$2,915,835.47 at the time of sale. Dorsey has since donated the proceeds to Africa.

So, who is Sina / Hakan Estavi?
He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bridge Oracle, a public oracle system that connects blockchain to external data and runs on the Tron network. According to his Instagram account, he owns an Iranian crypto exchange operator Cryptoland, which also registered under the same business address as Bridge Oracle.
"I believe it's an emerging market, and it's just the beginning. All forms of digital arts and creations such as music, photos, videos, tweets and blog posts can be traded in the form of an NFT," said Estavi, a 29-year-old Malaysian national to BBC.
He added that his investors and colleagues "are really appreciative and happy about this investment because they know the value and future price of this particular NFT and the impact it made on social media."
He tweeted about his recent NFT purchase.
This is not just a tweet!

I think years later people will realize the true value of this tweet, like the Mona Lisa painting https://t.co/vnA5pz3esQ
While Estavi owns the Dorsey tweet, anyone with internet access can see and read it.
